Based on scheduling considerations related to remote education and remote testing at colleges and universities due to COVID, we are adjusting the date of the November test.

We recognize that different schools have different class and testing schedules, but we are hopeful that this date change will make it easier and more convenient for most test takers, and we are sharing this date change as far in advance as possible so that affected test takers have the opportunity to plan.

All candidates registered for the November LSAT administration will be automatically registered to take the November LSAT-Flex unless they choose to opt out and receive a coupon which can be applied to any future test between January and April We are committed to broad access and will work with all test takers with disabilities to see that their accommodation needs are met under the circumstances.

We will also work with any candidates who may need our assistance with access to computer equipment, a reliable internet connection, or a quiet place to test.

You can also learn more about deadlines for requesting formal accommodations, how to request assistance with a loaner device or a quiet place in which to test, and deadlines for changing your test date , and score release dates for each of the LSAT-Flex administrations on our Test Dates, Deadlines, and Score Release Dates page.

There is even research out there that suggests that you might be able to get one or two fewer questions right on recent December tests and get the same score. IF this effect is something more than coincidence, there are good reasons not to flock to the later tests. First of all, if an inefficiency in the system does exist, smart and driven test takers trying to take advantage of that inefficiency will likely be high scorers who end up canceling out whatever gaps in the curve there might have been.

Lastly, and probably most importantly, in order to take full-advantage a perceived difference of maybe up to a point, you would have to take the LSAT almost a full-year before you plan to apply for law school. The admissions cycle is the most important thing to consider when deciding when is best to take the LSAT.

Law schools have rolling admissions. That means, getting your application in sooner gives you a significant advantage in the admissions process. June, July, and September test dates are most popular for that because they allow for plenty of time to get scores back before applications need to be turned in.

Students spend hours upon hours researching schools admission guidelines, and often a student will look to see if a school uses the top LSAT score or averages out the different scores, or if the school accepts multiple LSAT scores at all. So, to concisely answer the question at hand, students should plan to take the LSAT… 10 times at least!

The key is that a student must practice the skills they will need to perform well on the day of the scored, actual LSAT.
