The constant prompts to spend Cartel Coins to unlock this and that should not bother those who have experience playing other F2P MMO games as the situation is similar everywhere.

They all tell you that spending money on the InGame shop or purchasing a monthly subscription is better. And it is… for the company that develops the game. But is it better for you?

Maybe even longer, duration may vary based on your approach and past experience. If you are going to play it just for the story and the personal Star Wars adventure or experience, you need no Subscription! At all! The game does not offer much on the PvE EndGame front. BioWare adds fresh new content a few times per year. In the new content so far has been almost completely missing. I have a ton of guides that will help you through the process of gearing up.

I would say if you have been away from the game for more than 11 months, you may want to Subscribe once. If you are among those who played the game at launch and left it soon after — take a look, play F2P for a day or two, if you like it, Subscribe and experience all that you have missed the way Bioware meant for it to be played.

The changes made during all of these long years are far too many to even attempt and name them all. This game was designed from the ground up with the thought of being a Subscription based MMO. After the F2P launch in Bioware made a lot of changes, but the good news is that even now, they still value their subscribers and do their best to offer benefits and bonuses. Almost like you are playing a different game.

In case you decide to Subscribe to the game, here is my Referral Link. I do understand why people look at the subcription base when speaking of investors and returns as its relevant there but the rest of it. I just dont get it. TOR probably costed more then it needed to because it had a bigger budget.

People tend to spend to their limit, regardless what the limit is. Not a bash at the OP, just dont get this fasination with game costs by many players. Quote: Originally Posted by Oddzball. The downside of this free token is that it will auto-complete some of the earlier storylines for you, most importantly being the well-liked class stories.

One of the main focuses of the game is the story, and the developers have made changes to the game to make it more accessible even to the newest of players. Experienced gamers who are looking for a highly challenging experience from level 1 onwards will likely be disappointed with the combat, and will only enjoy the game if they enjoy the story and the universe.

The good news is that there are more challenging modes available for players at later levels. Players who reach the later expansions at level 60 and beyond have the option to play two of the expansions in story mode, veteran mode or master mode… and even Veteran mode can be a decent challenge for experienced players. If you enjoy group content, although there are not many world-first raiding groups left, progression and endgame raiding is alive and well in the game.

If you enjoy player vs player content, the game offers both casual pvp and ranked pvp seasons with leaderboards. Because SWTOR is a massive multiplayer game, players often ask how good the game is for a solo player. The entire class storyline is designed with a single player in mind, and the developers have added more options to solo content over the years. All the story expansions also offer story content catered towards solo players.
